She dances with Fire.
Today, I was presented with a magic wand ;)
The staff is made of metal. The tip wrapped in a special cotton, so dense that the fire cannot burn through it. Fire Dancing.
It has a mind of its own. You have to feel where it wants to go and allow it to swing.
Sometimes it jumps. You have to know when to let it go and then catch it, all the while staying connected to the rhythm of where it wants to go next.
It's like dancing with energy.
I am possessed by it. I'd like to test doing it with music as opposed to peace and quiet.
I imagine the vibrations of music would change the way it moves...
Speaking of "Rose Colored Glasses"
in my previous post...
http://youtu.be/8IJzYAda1wA Louis Armstrong singing La Vie en Rose
"La Vie en Rose. It's the French way of saying 'I am looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses.' "
-Audrey Hepburn in "SABRINA"
one of my top 10:)
OR for the less than romantic-
"Here's to alcohol. The rose colored glasses of life."
-F. Scott Fitzgerald "The Beautiful and Damned"

Just a little bit of Pixie Dust ;)
Behind the scenes photo from the set of "Macbeth."
It was filmed in Indiana... I was shocked by how many buildings stand in complete and total ruin.
A true testament to the shape our economy is in.
The writers take on "Hecate" is a man, woman and child.
The holy trinity- the Oracle.
Once again, I find myself playing a witch!
This makes sense, considering in my daily life I gravitate toward the supernatural.
I find the more I open to possibilities- the more magical the world becomes.
Life is truly an adventure, our very own Hero's Journey.
First we are awakened, then we become aware, then we do the work-
We conquer self...We embrace self.
Soon we see that what we feel inside, is exactly what we project and attract into our life.
Finally we understand that WE are the only ones responsible for our happiness and ability to love and be loved unconditionally.
It's a tough gig. It's a lot of work. It's cycle after cycle of breaking pattern and conditioning...
Occupy Wall Street, Assange, Manning, Elizabeth Warren, Arundhati Roy;
These are all examples of people taking back their power.
They are projections of a possibility in US to take back our power.
It is completely unavoidable, the change that is occurring. There must be balance.
You feel it, deep inside...
Something is screaming for change, for freedom, for the truth.
It is time to live authentically. It is time to live in love.
That to me- is magic.

Sarah Connor & Me
It was a huge honor to meet and work with Linda Hamilton on the set of "Dark Rising"
She is as amazing in person as she is on screen.
Sarah Connor is a character I relate with quite well:
"...this machine was the only one that ever measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice."
When you are a mother in this world, in this time-
and you are raising a man...
You know that you need to be prepared for anything. I want somebody stronger... than me.
Here is the clip from Terminator 2:

"Dark Rising" later re named "Bermuda Tentacles" was shot on the USS IOWA.
USS Iowa (BB-61) was the lead ship of her class of battleship and the fourth in the United States Navy to be named in honor of the 29th state. You could feel it in the air, a sort of heaviness. Intense energy.
I felt silly in all of the smoke and mirrors when I know what has really taken place on that ship... so much respect to those in service.
Salute.
"Witches Night"
You can rent "Witches Night" or catch it on the CHILLER Channel!
It's a campy, culty horror film shot in the middle of the woods- in the middle of the winter- in the middle of Wisconsin. Very cold.
My character is Gretchen.
I like to call her the "baby witch" of the four.
She has just learned her powers, so she is mischevious and playful. Animalistic in her nature.
It was creepy shooting the ritual scene, when we dance around in a pentacle of fire offering our sacrifice... I began and ended that scene praying!

Navy Seal "Jorge Rivas" for SyFy Channel
"DARK RISING" for the SyFy Channel.
I play Navy Seal Jorge Rivas :)
The role was for a male or female. Got such a kick out of that!
Here I am at a fitting. The final choice for wardrobe is nowhere near as... tight;)
Coming to SyFy sooooon!!!

Today I took Max fishing.
I feel lucky to live so close to the ocean...
to have this time to spend with him.
Still, I sometimes find it hard to relax completely.
First I watch him play, and I feel a little lonely. The water has a way of making me feel so small, and for the first five seconds- I want to feel as the protected, not as the protector.
Five seconds of fear allowed only;)
He is in bliss.
Every one that walks by him smiles, words are exchanged. One family stood with him in silence for a moment.
Be. Here. Now.
I put on my headphones and play the song I play when I need medicine.
I head down the beach. Max follows my lead.
We are communicating through smiles and jestures as the wind and water meet the realm between water and land.
A man walks up to see what we are doing.
We are using a disgusting jelly fish looking tentacle as bait for the hook.
There is much talk about manta rays and gar fish...
Next thing you know, we are getting surfing lessons.
Max is smiling ear to ear as he coasts in on his belly.
I catch him at the crash and we topple and roll in the sand, laughing hysterically.
I look up as our new friend walks toward us.
The setting sun silhouettes his sinewy shape. All I can see is the white of his teeth and all I can feel is his joy...
"I have to go. Max, we have to go. Thank You."
I'm not ready for this. I am opening to love again. Every experience is a step closer...
but I will take it at my own pace.
